About Me

I have been a psychotherapist for the last 18 years with a private practice in West Los Angeles specializing in treating trauma. I have previously also worked in community mental health settings, as a school and home based consultant working with children, families and parents and as a volunteer for a child refugee EMDR healing project.

I work with adults specializing in treating trauma of all kinds, including sexual abuse, anxiety and mood disorders, medical trauma, PTSD, phobias and stress.  Though I incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness my work is informed by neurobiology.  I utilize those leading edge brain body therapies such as EMDR, Brainspotting and Havening Techniques that are based on that knowledge and connection.

My philosophy is that the body is always seeking balance and optimum health and that the mind, body and heart are completely connected.  This directly informs and guides the work that I do and how I approach each client.  I have developed this sense from over twenty years of experience of natural health, diet and an experience with a variety of healing modalities that support the body and minds inclination to seek balance and well being.  I am passionate about supporting all my clients to achieve this balance.

Personally I am guided by my own parenting journey with my son, a twenty five year yoga practice and daily meditation and mindfulness practice. I also have a strong commitment to my own self–development & emotional growth, self-expression through writing, being in nature and self care.  I feel extremely privileged to do this work and am fortunate to be a witness to daily healing.
